All-Wheel Drive XTS models are equipped with an electronically controlled limited slip differential (eLSD)in the rear axle, ensuring optimum traction and handling performance in a variety of road conditions, including snow, mud, sand or gravel. When available traction is low, this feature allows the wheel with the most traction to move the vehicle. It also enhances driver control of the vehicle when cornering hard or completing a maneuver, such as a lane change.

Or, if you wish,&nbsp;it can be programmed to open other passenger's doors. As you exit&nbsp;the vehicle and walk away, the system also remembers to lock the doors for you.

Rear Cross Traffic Alert can help you when backing out of a parking spot. Using radar sensors, it warns the driver of oncoming traffic with&nbsp;visual and audible or directional seat pulse alerts if moving vehicles are detected. The system helps boost driver confidence when backing out of angled parking spaces, and helps give the driver more time to react to obstacles that may be difficult to see in the side mirror.<br /><br />On Luxury Collection models, this feature requires the available Driver Awarenes Package.

The 3.6L V6 engine in XTS with all-wheel drive is matched to the Hydra-Matic^&reg; 6 speed automatic transmission with tap-shift control. This sophisticated transmission allows the driver to shift gears manually without the need of a clutch pedal, or to enjoy smooth, effortless automatic shifting.<br /><br />

The Remote Keyless Entry system on XTS includes Adaptive Remote Start. Besides conveniently and securely starting your vehicle from up to 200 feet away, Adaptive Remote Start also activates the&nbsp;heated/ventilated seats&nbsp;(if equipped), climate control system and rear defroster, allowing you to enter your XTS comfortably warmed or cooled to your desired temperature.

The air&nbsp;filtration system&nbsp;will help prevent exhaust fumes from entering the interior of the vehicle by recirculating cabin air when poor exterior air quality is detected. The driver seat in XTS is its command center and at its heart is the gauge cluster. Here you'll find precise instrumentation and the configurable three-panel Driver Information Center with full-color display that relays vehicle information as well as any vehicle system warning messages. The front passenger seat air bag¹ has an ingenious Passenger Sensing System for smarter air bag deployment. It also includes tap-up/tap-down paddle shift controls that allow immediate, quick gear selection for the 6-speed automatic transmission.

The push button start feature allows you to start your vehicle&nbsp;by simply&nbsp;pushing a button on the instrument panel while the system's transmitter remains close by.

XTS&nbsp;provides inspiring views of the sky above you with the power UltraView^&reg; sunroof. UltraView is a double-sized glass roof that spans both rows of seats and opens over the first row to let more of the refreshing outside in on pleasant days.
