There were some fluids that needed changing and since I am above 80 I don't want to go under my vehicle anymore. I do like taking my vehicle there as I know it will be done right.

Well, when I brought my truck in after jump starting it on Mon. 6/9/25 I reminded my service tech (Trenton) that the day before my trouble started that I noticed that my ELECTRONIC tailgate button stopped working..and that i was curious if that may have Ben the cause of my truck not starting the next day. The next day Tues. He called and told me that I had a bad battery. I reminded him about how I was curious about the possible parasitic draw at the tailgate. Was told that that couldn't be it. But it was very odd because at the same time I received and email about what needed to be done. "The battery replacement" however within this same email was the initial GM report wich ironically said my battery was fine. I still have this email. I question that, but was told the tech made an error. Ok fine were all human. So I end up paying $475.00 for a battery replacement. Wasn't happy about it but what do you do. Later that day I come to pick up my truck. Paid my bill, started my truck, and the engine light was on. Went back in. Had to wait another 20-30 min. Was told that the tech apparently didn't seat a sensor all the way. Ok again we're all human. But that ridiculousness almost made me late for a Dr's appointment. Wich was back across town. I get out, take my work vest off, to put it in my back seat, then notice the jump pack that the tech obviously left in my back seat, I have pics by the way. So no I have to do the right thing and drive all the way across town to return it. Which I did. Then go home. The next morning Wednesday 6/11/25 after paying for a battery that CLEARLY WASN'T THE ISSUE, my truck was dead once again. I called Trenton once again..that afternoon I was going to jump start it once my wife got home and bring it back in. I said to Trenton that now it the 3rd day of this ridiculousness i think its time we set up a loaner car. He replied with "I cant get a loaner for three weeks. Um ok? So much for the 4 hr policy. That afternoon Trenton offered to send some one to come and jump it. Which that was nice. They came were unsuccessful so Trenton arranged a tow truck. It was towed to Kayser, and I got a call from Trenton an hr later asking if I left the headlights on. Seriously any gm vehicles for the last 20 years let's you know if you left the lights on. So No I did not leave the lights on.. so the next dayi get the call they recharged the brand new battery found no issues oh and they were able to replace my tailgate button. He had someone bring it to my house, which again that was nice. Next morning guess what...no issues. Im not a certified mechanic but I know what 1 plus 1 equals..glad I paid for that $3,100. Extended warranty. Which i wasn't able to use. Which it should've been covered. Obviously the parasitic draw from the tailgate switch cause the issue, NOT the battery. I feel that I should be reimbursed the $475. For the battery cost since the issue was caused by an item covered under warranty..Im very disappointed in Kaysers service dept. My daughter and wife are currently car shopping, I don't believe we'll be coming there. Unless Kayser redeems itself. I. Not cheap, looking for a freebe, it's just that fact that I pointed out the tailgate switch right a way...I drew a map if you will, but was shrugged off.when clearly I was right..DO BETTER!
